Eight Point Two ran another two abseils for Christian Aid last weekend. We were back at the Velodrome for one and at Leicester Tigers rugby club for the other. The weather was a bit cold but dry (for the Leicester Tigers abseil) but warm and dry under the roof of the Velodrome!

We are rapidly heading towards our busy months of Spring and early Summer! We have 6 large bike rides (London to Paris, Buxton, Anglesey, New Forest and 2 in the Peak District), 2 races (Scotland and Sandbeck Estate), 8 walks (including  4 Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenges and 2 National 3 Peaks Challenges) and 7 abseils around the UK – and thats all in the next 3 months!

If you fancy doing something different over the coming weekends then check out our Open and Exclusive events diary on the website – there’s something there for everyone!

The recent good weather has luckily coincided with our first abseils of the year. On the 6th March we had out first open abseil at Manchester Velodrome. It was quiter than normal but we still had a good turn out of brave souls!

On the 19th March we held an abseil at Millers Dale Viaduct in the Peak District for Christian Aid. It was a stunning day and the bridge makes an excellent abseil spot! The picture below shows what its all about!
