It was a great weekend for the 2 exclusive events which we ran this weekend. The Marie Curie Peak District walk went without a hitch and all of the 100+ walkers enjoyed the stunning 10 mile loop around Edale in the Peak District. In North Wales the Marquess of Anglesey abseil for Gwynedd Hospice went well and the abseilers enjoyed the stunning views from the top of the column. Lets hope the good wetaher continues in to the Summer!!!

Just a quick post to let you know that Eight Point Two have completed their 2011 Open Cycle Event programme. There are 7 cycling challenges from the Classic Coast to Coast through to the infamous Lands End to John o Groats. There is something for everyone and the majority of the routes follow the brilliant road free cycle networks which criss cross the UK. Take a look at the Cycling section in the open events section to see whats on offer!
For anyone lucky enough to be out and about this weekend Im sure you will be able to appreciate the fantastic weather that the Radio Aire challengers had for their Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Sunday. Cool weather and clear skies were almost perfect conditions for the 26 mile circuit of Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough! With 22 people taking part we were delighted that everyone made it around with our fastest walker doing it in just 8 1/2 hours! The tired walkers were off to celebrate in style at the Malmaison Hotel in Leeds when we left them! Well done to everyone who took part. Radio Aire walkers were raising money for Cash For Kids!!
