For those of you who have booked on to the Suffolk Whole Hog in November (or for those thinking about it) you will be glad to know that we have been busying ourselves with a few new obstacles over the past few days. The aptly titled “Tunnel of Love” has now had an ‘extension’. The 5 metre long tunnel was once a hidoeus thigh depth wade through thick mud but, we are pleased to report, the experience has been improved! By clearing 30 metres of brambles and woodland we have been able to add an extra 50 metres of thigh depth mud wading!

Also, whilst we were at it, we have added a brand new tunnel obstacle. Its just over 20 metres long, pitch black and… Well, Im not going to give the suprise away with this one but its a great addition to the race.. Heres a few pictures to wet your appetite. Only 10 weeks left to the event so get your places booked soon – its going to be busy!

A quick post to say well done to the few hardy souls who made it up Ben Nevis this last weekend on behalf of the Meningitis Trust!

More 3 Peaks

Stuart and I headed up North for another National 3 Peaks – this time for Pinsent Masons a Glasgow/Edinburgh based solicitors firm. The weather was probably the most misereable I have encountered for a while with nearly zero visability on every mountain. Despite this the girls were great with an average finishing time of 24 1/2 hours – very well done!

Also this weekend was a large abseil in Southampton on behalf of the JST from the Canberra Towers. This 250 foot abseil is a very scarey prospect – especially in the strong winds that affected us throughout the day!
