NEWS – Suffolk Whole Hog 2011

For the 2011 Suffolk Whole Hog we have some very exciting news! We have decided to host two races over the weekend – one for individuals and one ‘traditional’ team race. Saturday 5th November will be individual’s race day and Sunday 6th November will be team day.

We are also including a prize element for fancy dress this year so this year’s theme is ‘SPARKLERS AND ROCKETS’!!

Hurry!! There’s a limit of 450 competitors on each day!

Saturday the 5th November will be strictly for those willing to take on The Whole Hog by themselves. The usual suspects (mud, wading through water, difficult obstacles) will still be there pushing the racers to extremes. The course will be more or less the same course that will be used on the Sunday, but don’t be fooled – the individual’s race is in no way ‘easier’ than the team race!

Sunday 6th November we will be holding the usual team race that has been running at Wantisden Valley for the past five years – however, as usual, expect a few changes to the course from what we have done previously!! For the team race on the Sunday, you should still expect mud-wading and challenging obstacles, with teams being made up of three racers. Past racers will know from experience that this is the usual drill for the Suffolk Whole Hog !

So, whether you wish to tackle this challenging event with some trusted companions, or if you think you’re brave enough to take on this gruelling race alone, you have the option of joining whichever race you wish – you could even do both !
